What do all those Props and compliance rules mean?

We are 1) Pre-ICO, 2) Prop D compliant and 3) Prop 215 compliant. That means we follow ALL of the rules the state of California throws at us so you’ll be safe in our capable hands.

1) ICO refers to the Interim Control Ordinance placed in Los Angeles in September 2007.  Pre-ICO dispensaries are those that were legally registered collectives prior to the ordinance taking effect.

2) 2013’s Measure D allowed for the 135 pre-ICO dispensaries to stay open in the city of Los Angeles if they follow the city’s rules on proximity to schools, churches and neighborhoods.

Despite the ordinance, it has been previously estimated that there are approximately 900 dispensaries operating in Los Angeles, the majority of which are operating illegally.  It is difficult to know how many are still operational subsequent to Measure D.

3) Patients’ Guide to Medical Marijuana Law in California. PROPOSITION 215, the California Compassionate Use Act, was enacted by the voters and took effect on Nov. 6, 1996 as California Health & Safety Code 11362.5. The law makes it legal for patients and their designated primary caregivers to possess and cultivate marijuana for thier personal medical use given the recommendation or approval of a California-licensed physician.

Here is a complete list of all the legal Pre-ICO dispensaries in California.
